It is time once again to mix, mingle and muse at the Gallery with martinis, music, performance, spontaneous art-making, film, and more! Inspired by the current exhibition Warhol: Larger Than Life, this dynamic evening will include remixes of Velvet Underground by DJ Bellyfish, an exclusive performance from theatre group Atomic Vaudeville, and a screening of Warhol’s Screen Tests, documenting the New York arts scene and visitors to the Factory including Bob Dylan, Susan Sontag , Edie Sedgwick, and Nico.
Atomic Vaudeville was founded by Britt Small and Jacob Richmond in 2004 and is composed of a collective of writers, performers and musicians. The company began producing a monthly cabaret show that has become a local cult hit and has won the Monday Magazine award for best comedy act three years running. The cabaret shows are a short-form mélange of theatre, music, song, dance, puppetry and sketch.
Check back for event details or sign up for the Gallery’s monthly e-news.
